Geraldine "Jake" McCarthy
It all started back in 1986 when our family received a letter that our home was going to be condemned for Monmouth County Reclamation Center (a garbage dump). Who knew what Eminent Domain was? We certainly didn’t! (The government right to take private property for public use. )
While studying to obtain my BS in Business Management at Fairleigh Dickinson University, I took the classes to find out why and how this process is possible. Five years later, the county ousted us! “Shangra-La slated to become the county dump” in Tinton Falls, NJ. The search began to find a new home for our family and jump started my career in real estate.
Having been employed for Century 21, Nancy F. Blevins for 15 years part-time and Brokers 3 Realtors in Shrewsbury for 4 years full time, I have plenty of experience in the real estate field. Prior to that, I was employed at PJT Transport in South Kearny, NJ as director of marketing and customer relations full time for 18 years. I grew up in Kearny and Tinton Falls, NJ and moved to Shrewsbury, NJ in 1998 with my husband. In 2002, our beautiful twin daughters were born. I am a graduate of FDU in Rutherford, NJ with a degree in Business Management . I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society of NJ. I am a certified tennis instructor and I obtained my private pilot's license in 1991.
I received my “Brokers” real estate license in July of 2008 and opened up my own company “Theobald Properties” in January 2009. My expertise lies in educating my clients about home sales and purchasing thereby creating a unique market to make better, more effective and informative decisions. I specialize in listing and selling in Monmouth and Ocean Counties here in NJ. If you are buying or selling a home that is not in my area, I can refer you to other experienced and knowledgeable agents who will handle your real estate needs throughout the country.
My goal is to not only meet my client’s expectations but to exceed them. I am with you every step of the real estate process. I love what I do and I think you will enjoy working with me. Take the first step-give me a call- and I’ll lead you the rest of the way.
